‘Baròn’ is our fresh and youthful Oxford that is all about feeling and looking good. This is for the individual who seeks the alternative and path less taken. With its tumbled leather, semi brogue design and leather sole, it’s a dark brown shoe that’s perfect as that second pair that will always grab colleagues’ attention. And with its blake-rapid construction it’s easy to resole.
The most valuable construction is called blake-rapid. It’s characterized by a double binding (blake and rapid, precisely): while the first attaches upper, lining and insole; the second one secures the insole and outside sole together. The shoes are therefore easy to resole.
Unrefined leather goes through the traditional process called “tanning”. And is treated so to prevent it from decomposition or loss in flexibility. Afterwards, the leather is put in a rotating wood barrel with water and dark brown coloring solution for dyeing. Water is then warmed up to 60° C to help the color bind to the leather for a lasting finish.
Made with real leather, our soles respect and pay homage to tradition. They’re made from the best bovine leather in the market and gain their distinct color through “vegetal tanning”. And, they’re made to last over time.
Just like full grain leather, it’s one of the most natural, soft and refined leather on the market. From there it starts a tumbling process to cover all the leather’s little imperfections. The result is about aesthetics.
