Alpaca wool is cozy and has a uniquely soft feel. Naturally hypoallergenic, it helps maintain body temperature. The addition of polyamide adds durability and resistance to wear and pilling.
These yarns have been crafted in Italy by Filitaly-Lab, a company based in Prato’s textile district. For over 30 years, they have specialized in producing high-quality natural fibers, especially alpaca. Certified by the Responsible Wool Standard (RWS) and Responsible Alpaca Standard (RAS), they prioritize the well-being of animals, the land, and the environment.
Care
We recommend washing this garment by hand: fill up a basin with cold water and a few drops of mild or delicate laundry detergent. Turn the garment inside out before immersing it in the water and leaving it to soak for 5 minutes - no longer or the detergent could cause damage. Then rinse delicately, without wringing it out. To get rid of any excess water, lay the garment out on a towel and roll it up on itself.
If you want to wash it in the washing machine, always turn it inside out or put it inside a delicates bag and choose a short gentle cold wash. If possible, turn off the spin cycle entirely (or set it to maximum 400 RPM).
Once the wash is finished, lay it out flat and in the shade to dry. Store in a cool dry place.
As for pilling? The dreaded pills that form on the surface of a garment are actually the material's ordinary reaction to friction against itself or other surfaces. It's naturally expressed by cashmere and high quality wool, so when you wear it, make sure to use an anti-pilling comb and always take care of the fibers when washing. That way they'll last you longer.

We’ve carefully designed our packaging, selecting sustainable materials in order to reduce waste and make the packing process easier for our artisans.
The cardboard is fully recycled and recyclable, as is the twine and packing tissue. Depending on your purchase, you’ll also find one or more cotton bags for your convenience: reuse them for home and wardrobe storage, or for organizing your things when going away on trips.

Made in Bagnacavallo, in the Ravenna province, this sweater was created in a workshop owned by Gilberto. His knitwear company has been spinning top quality yarns since 1995, combining research and passion to produce excellence. To date they have over three thousand designs, created through continual experimentation with new yarns. For durable pieces made in a variety of textures and thicknesses.
